Paytech was awarded The Tender for the Provision of an Automatic Fare Collection and Access Control System by The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in the ongoing Nairobi Metropolitan Service Improvement Project.

The on-going Metropolitan Service Improvement Project is meant to improve the public transport system with respect to accessibility, efficiency, safety, speed, convenience and comfort of commuters. This would ensure high ridership, reduce private automobile use and eventually lead to reduced traffic into the city centre, air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.

Paytech is proud to be working with The Ministry of Transport in the upgrading of its 10 Railway Sub Stations namely; Githurai, Dandora, Embakasi, Pipeline, Kikuyu, Kahawa, Mwiki, Ruiru, Athiriver and Donholm. Deployed in these stations is a holistic solution ranging from People Access Control equipment, Ticket Vending, Payment and Validating and Vehicle Parking and Access Control System.

Paytech was awarded the tender as a result of its proven capability in providing, installing and maintaining cutting-edge access control and revenue collection solutions in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.
