The Hub Karen Mall, has rolled out a new service that will see customers pay to park on the go via M-Pesa as part of its drive to enhance the customer experience at the mall.

The service, which is a partnership between the Karen-based mall and tech firms Safaricom and Paytech, eliminates the need for customers to queue at the pay station.

“This is an innovative service and a first of its kind that leverages technology to enhance the experience of our clients,” said Philippe Cauviere, the Chief Operations Officer of Azalea Holdings, the developers of the mall.

The Nairobi Hospital is one of region’s leading hospitals, located in the Hurlingham area of Nairobi. The hospital’s parking has a capacity of 743 vehicles, most of which are usually occupied by motorists who are not seeking the hospital’s services.

In November 2016, the hospital invited providers of parking management solution to bid for the supply, installation and operation of an integrated parking management system. Paytech submitted the winning bid and was assigned the project.

Paytech has installed a total of 16 entries and exits together with 9 Pay on Foot machines to serve The Nairobi Hospital.

Situated in the prime Kimihurura District of the city, the building seeks to deliver world class facilities for both retail and commercial spaces, the latest in a series of similar developments marking the rapid rise of Kigali.

Paytech has been contracted to supply, install and operate the parking management system for the premises’ 300 vehicle capacity car park. This award marks our upwards trend in increasing our footprint in the region, more so after winning the bid to supply and install our systems at Entebbe International Airport.

And this is not by chance, since the parking system is usually the first and last contact point with driving shoppers. Paytech has proven itself as a provider of parking access and revenue collection systems in such establishments.
